Grimms' Fairytales

Long time, no see, y'all. It's Madelyn here.

For the past couple of weeks, I've been reading a few fairytales here and there. I found this amazing online book (here), so it's perfect for me since I always have my computer with me anyways! I'm hoping to continue this and get through them all by the time summer quarter ends around mid-August.

Spoilers below:

Rapunzel  [★☆]
The most recent one I've read is Rapunzel. It's not at all like Tangled, though, so heads up. This one kind of frustrated me because it was so short. Everything that happened seemed to be very abrupt, and then suddenly they drop the "there they lived long and happily" line. I wanted the juicy details. Like, Grimm Bros, are we not going to talk about Rapunzel's children? And you spend more time talking about Rapunzel's parents than you do Rapunzel. I mean, thanks for the backstory, but I'd rather hear about Rapunzel and the prince. So yeah, one star.

The Frog Prince  [★☆]
I enjoyed this story a lot. I think it's good that the princess's father made her keep her word to the frog. He should teach a Parenting 101 course. I thought the ending was sweet.

I do not understand how throwing the frog against a wall made him a prince. Shouldn't it have been a kiss or declaration of love or something?
